Dear,

John Lennon and Yoko Ono once said about San Francisco after their visit there, “We’re crazy about this city....... Los Angeles? That's just a big parking lot where you buy a hamburger for the trip to San Francisco."

I totally agree with them. For so many times, I read out these sentences loud to you. Indeed, if I ever was born and grew up in San Francisco, I doubt if I would move to anywhere else in the world.....

In reality, although we live in somewhere worse than the Los Angeles burger parking lot, you let me decide to go to my favorite city for our anniversary every year.

San Francisco means a lot to me.  The pier, the hill, the diverse culture, and the busy street....When we stopped by the farmers market, you checked out tomatoes with me; when I was amazed about the night-view, you smiled and held my hand; when I almost drooled while looking at those oysters, you asked for a table and ordered baked ones for yourself (though you don’t eat oysters); when I spontaneously (or wagamama? :) ) decided to climb up to Lombard Street after one hour pier walk, you enjoyed taking pictures of the scenery with me....until we stopped by the cozy The Irish Bank in Union Square and had a drink (after three hours climbing up and down)....

I see myself in you, in San Francisco. San Francisco is everything I want, and so are you. My dear, you are my San Francisco.  Happy Anniversary!

Love Always,

Your Neko

PS.

Original Quote from John Lennon and Yoko Ono:

"We're crazy about this city. First time we came here, we walked the streets all day, all over town and nobody hassled us.

People smiled, friendly-like, and we knew we could live here. We'd like to keep our place in Greenwich Village and have an apartment here, God and the Immigration Service willing.

Los Angeles? That's just a big parking lot where you buy a hamburger for the trip to San Francisco."
